He probably agrees. Clarence Thomas is very much against affirmative action, in part because he says it hurts people of color, one way being that it sends people to schools they’re underprepared for.

Wow, he seeks to really enjoy talking about this. This is just so much fun for him.
Oh! My other opinion about political gabfest is that they should always have jamelle bouie on. He’s great and adds good perspective. On race stuff but just in general. I guess 4 would get crowded and I wouldn’t bump anyone, but I’m always happy when he’s on.
I’m like... 3 chapters in. Like, just started. It’s also my first murakami. I thought I had read another by him, but it turns out there’s other dudes who writes stuff named murakami, so this is my first. Who knew? Is that racist?
Yes please! We can make all the crazy drinks they post on Jezebel.
I feel like I gotta check it out just because I'm a masochist and want to become irate, but thanks for the recommendations. I'm always on the search for new podcasts.
Cocktail chatter is great, I wish the conversations I had at parties was half as interesting as they random fascinating crap they bring up!
Hahahahaha god I hope it's true.
Ha I just saw this and said basically the same thing about conversation purposes re political gabfest. I havent listened to any others but maybe I'll check them out!
It’s great! I always feel like dummie on current events but gabfest makes me feel like I could handle a cocktail party conversation on any of the major news topics.
Nooooo!
She sort of switched tactics but I was really surprised she went in the attack. She doesn’t have anything to gain by attacking sanders. She should’ve attacked republicans, emphasized her commonalities with those she’s on stage with, and then tried to emphasize the nuance and pragmatic position she has. I’m surprised…
I love his stuff. Next on my list is Norwegian wood but I want to check out Kafka partly because I freaking love that title.
I haven’t caught it either, but I wanna check it out. He’s so insightful and intelligent but maybe he does better in an interview context? It’s like he’s trying to get at interesting stuff but it seemed more petty.
Yikes. This is getting bloody...
He's like the T1000 in political garb. He's so strange! That cold stare...
I had high hopes because I love John Dickerson on slates political gabfest but I hate these questions... What's with all the arguing of semantics and pointless follow-ups?
Just started 1Q84. So far, so good! I haven't been making the time to read fiction lately so I'm glad to finally be starting on something.
ok so I tried posting this week and I missed the boat so here goes again.
