I love Ting. They’re getting better with their network coverage and a for-real person answers the phone when you call for help (no automated systems). The bill is way less than anything I was paying for on AT&T (even without a subsidized phone on my bill).

I live in the middle of nowhere PA and am extremely happy with

I don’t want to punch snowplows in the face because I’d rather not drive on glare ice or through 4 feet of snow in my mazda 3 thanks.

Votes to get rid of Aaron? We’re staging an uprising.

My second most starred post ever and I get #10. This clearly isn’t a democracy.

Man. I really thought that I had a good one for this.

Awd is not a winter tire replacement.

Probably less screwed than actually arriving in Detroit.

To me this signifies that back in the early 2000’s the SUV was still seen primarily as a utility vehicle, the interior quality shows that. Nowadays most SUV’s seem to be a status symbol, less used for traditional ‘SUV’ duties.

It’s very unlikely that you’ll misplace a timing belt. There’s a cover and everything.

Well, yes, but that EL thing was 20 years ago. (Holy crap! 20 years!)

“and they don’t want to screw it up by peddling poorly rebadged crap.”

Agreed, the above article is bad advise.

Please don’t use these. They are junk. Use wire nuts, they are cheaper and offer a way better mechanical interface between wires. A tiny bit more work, but I would definitely trust them more. Weak mechanical connection means heat and voltage drop when high current passes through, and at worst sparks.

One huge omission:

My fondest memory as a kid with a Big Wheels, is doing so many “burnouts” that I cracked open the plastic on the wheel, and tore out the “tread” from all the “torque” :)

Miata:

Opens list. Is disappointed that the Miata only came in at #8. Closes list.

Serving time is ridiculous but he also shouldn’t get off without some form of punishment. I propose that he is forced to drive around London in this fine example of American automotive engineering with the license plate USA 1776 for at least a year.

I really hope Mazda follows the Porsche’s mentality of simplifying and adding lightness to the speedster/spyder models of the Miata.
