Eh. The Padme-centric episodes of Clone Wars were always the most boring ones.

Honest to god, man. I had a film teacher in college who HATED STar Wars (she actually just hated any blockbuster), but she always said Star Wars was one of the best edited films of the 70s and Marcia Lucas was a damned genius. Just the rest of it was dreck!

I generally love the episode and where the story is (finally) heading, but can I be the old grouch who lodges one major if pedantic complaint?

It’s called divisive because plenty of people feel differently from what you posted. 

Because there is absolutely nothing interesting, precious, or relevant about the ‘canon’ of a two-movie comedy series from the 80s, and setting a new movie in the same universe would add nothing substantial to the proceedings, whereas starting from a clean slate might lead to something interesting?

Looks better than the marionette-esque style of the last two shows.

There is a big difference between writing an article that says, “This studio should try to cast actors representative of the part” and personally screaming in all caps at the actor, “YOU SHOULD QUIT ACTING YOU TALENTLESS WHORE”.

You can have Tarkin ,The Emperor,Darth Vader ,Princess Leia and her Father , Wedge ,Porkins and any of the other rebels from Star Wars but no Solo ,that is just a stupid idea.
