No sadly this problem has not been resolved. Many studies from the last few years showing chronic lack of hand washing among doctors in the US and other countries. This is definitely causing infections and killing people.

Doctors not washing their hands kills thousands of people every year, maybe tens of thousands. Study after study finds doctors just don’t wash their hands enough.
