I that Doc Hollywood’s?
I that Doc Hollywood’s?
I was just thinking the same thing. I don’t see the corrosion, rust, or other patina that would have formed over the nearly 3 decades, that thing looks like it was crashed last week.
It looks too shiny and non rusty to have been there for 27 years.
No way that thing has been there for 27 years.
Cameron’s dad is going to be pissed.
...as the only bones they found close to it were those of a deer.
If you’ve ever been to Texas, you know that quite a few people enjoy letting huge clouds of black smoke spew out of their trucks.
“It’ll hold your beer AND cold your beer! Truly a marvel of modern science!”
This is the correct take. Everyone was extremely skeptical about the P1/LeFerrari/918 because they were hybrids until McLaren/Ferrari/Porsche showed you could apply this technology to make cars even better.
The market for hybrid trucks is tiny. like 4 digits sales total, tiny. I am trying to dig up Silverado/Sierra hybrid sales, but I know it ain’t much.
Neutral: How Do You Think A Hybrid F-150 Will Go Over In The U.S.?
It’s absolutely serviceable. Anything that needs replacing can still be purchased from a chevy dealership, or is easily available at your local pep boys. Aside from that, those old small blocks are pretty bullet proof with some light maintenance now and then.
Not to mention I could see this becoming one hell of a collector’s item one day, but only if kept original.
I’m not sure there are any mechanics still alive that know their way around the 4+3.
LOL! That’s one of the reasons I started to get away from eBay. I’d been bid-sharked so many times near the end and the prices would start to spiral out of control.
Imagine dropping this thing off at your friendly local GM dealership for service. It’d be worth it just for that. NP.
You know it wouldn’t be that ugly if you just yanked off that hideous rear wing and put on some period correct but larger diameter wheels. It wouldn’t look half bad.
NP all day. Combination of importance, rarity, 37k on the clock and some elbow grease and you’ve really got something. Minor investment to turn every head at the Vette show. Of course newer cars will be better and faster. That’s the nature of progressive engineering (except in the 70s and early 80s). But this car was…
You’re all crazy, this is way worth it. Looks better than the same vintage BMW or Porsche, and way faster, plus everything is serviceable. NP all day!
I know this will lose the popular vote and 345HP is laughable today but in the mid eighties that plus 465 lb. ft of torque and a top speed near 180MPH was no joke.
