Corvairs are cool. On my unrealistic bucket list, one of the items is to own a fleet of every kind of Corvair. I think this kind is my favorite:

A housemate of mine had a Corvair that I helped him fix up. In all the times I drove it It handled more or less like any other car of that era. It was indeed treated unfairly at the end of the day.

While many LEOs miss the Crown Vic, any officer that was on patrol in the 1990s will tell you that the LT1 powered Caprice they absolutely mourn the passing of. I’ve had many discussions with LEOs when the Vic passed and many told me that the Caprice was indestructible and that the LT1 was their best friend on the

At $4500 it would be a nice price. That would leave some money in the till to get rid of too-hard bushings and put properly sized tires under it.

$5k buys you a lot of car in today’s market. This may be a rare Jetta, but I’m not a VW fetishist, so i’m going to pass. CP

Not to mention that the Crown Vic is very spacious inside thanks to its overall dimensions and column shifter, has a monstrously-sized trunk, has a RWD powertrain that is quite conducive to high speed maneuvering/driving styles, has excellent outward visibility (especially as compared to its modern competition with

also, due to their relatively high ride height (i think police departments had a requirement that it had to be able to drive up curbs) and heavy duty suspension, they ride fucking great, on bumpy, shitty roads (which appear to be the only kind of roads left in America).

This is exciting. I was seriously contemplating getting one of these and this may seal the deal. Do you know if this engine will be offered with all specs and with the 6 speed manual?

Only on the base model with it though. Because Mazda secretly hates us.

Please offer with a manual

Hell yeah, nice price. The Aerostar had the distinction of being the only RWD minivan available at the time (not counting the Astro, since it was decidedly not mini). Ford kept making it through 97 because people threw a fit when they tried to take it off the market. Some people wanted a goddamn RWD minivan and were

Agreed. 1/3 of this price is where I would like to start the haggling.

I dunno, twice a price you’re comfortable with seems pretty crack pipe to me.

People can say “modern classic this” and “modern classic that” but maybe we’ve found the price ceiling on these.

Even if it were a brown turbo diesel in that shape, it’s still waaayyyy too much money. 4,500-6,000 would be max, and that’s only if every maintenance record were present.

Sooo, $14,500 for a 20+ year old, base model Volvo with over 128,000 miles on it. Or, I could buy a 10 year old Volvo wagon with 1/2 the miles and pay less.

Crack pipe.

I agree that some people need to be more thick skinned. But using the N word is definitely no-no.

To someone else? Probably. Me? Hell no.

Even at 1/3 that price I’d have a hard time deciding which button to push...CP all the way.
