No. But she’s not obligated to sit back and take their stupid shit, either.
No. But she’s not obligated to sit back and take their stupid shit, either.
Who cares?
I’ll leave this here.
Meeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I know, I’m British. :) DNA surveys across the UK show people had more diverse ancestry in Y-DNA. That is what testing often shows - a minority of people from with ancestry from unexpected places. Even in a country which is 95% white like Scotland.
Off the top of my head:
The fact is that, mostly, they agree on everything
And some of Hillary’s supporters are racist. Unless it all disappeared after 2008. Let’s face it, the Obama bros term failed because there were accusations of racism to counter that. Now that Hillary’s opponent is a white guy, it’s open season on calling almost any male Bernie supporter a “Bernie-bro.” Essentially…
Well, this is hilarious, you’ve got that right.
Then why aren’t women supporting the candidate that OLD democrat MEN tend to support: Hillary? Why should young men’s interests weigh more heavily on the unconscious minds of young women who have spent their “whole lives being told” that Father Knows Best and “it’s hard not to internalize it somewhat and apply it to…
I can respect the point of view but can’t help but laugh outright at the idea that for ANYONE Hillary was one of “our first role models of a smart, professional, kickass woman”. Where were you, in a coma for decades?
Just what a crusty old Hillary supporter would say. :-)
If you think it’s a given that “feminists fight for all women,” you’re clearly not well-versed in the history of feminism. And I say this as a die-hard intersectional feminist.
I’m sorry you feel talked down to because you (still, somehow) don’t understand a comparison I was making. I’m also sorry that you seem intent on making me answer for the actions of people who are not me. I’m sorry that you’re apparently allergic to nuance, and have trouble differentiating between “uses arguments…
You stop. My point stands even if you omit the part about quoting another feminist.
A guest list obtained by MSNBC from the 2007 Martha’s Vineyard retreat does show a mix of attendees, though labor unions and constituency groups are a minority. “He certainly never lobbied or asked any financial people for money,” Weaver added.
Really? You don’t understand why I brought up Palin? If Palin’s gender doesn’t do much of anything to mitigate her actual political views, then Clinton’s doesn’t either. You can’t argue it’s irrelevant (or so small in the face of policy issues that we can round it down to irrelevant) in one case and relevant in the…
“for the party” not himself. He is part of the establishment, but don’t try to act like him and Hillary are on the same level of the establishment. Hell the DNC is basically telling you they want Hillary as POTUS. Bernie raised money for the party yes...Hillary raised it for her personal wealth and the party. Sanders…
I feel the same. I also think it’s worth noting that Sanders would be the first Jewish president, and an openly “non religious” one, which I find a point in his favor, too. I’m a secularist and I’m more than fed up with my politicians preaching.
I can agree that the language used was unnecessarily reductive, but I don’t think it obscures the point (for me, anyway).
