While she was pouring herself a drink in the kitchen, at least that’s when I noticed it. I think it happened briefly another time too.

It also gets people talking about Young Rock. I first heard about this show because of an article worrying he was entering politics, and that’s certainly what’s getting comments here. I also think it’s a real possibility he has ambitions, but this is a win-win for him no matter what.
Misread that as Dwayne Johnson at first. Kind of want to see his cut of Knives Out now.
Yeah, he was my favorite filmmaker through my teenage years. I still love the projects he worked on, but I’ll be articulating that differently now. And I’m never watching another show or movie he makes in the future.
Okay, I get what you’re talking about a bit more. I think geek culture is the dividing line. Though I do think Buffy and Firefly can be considered two of the most “beloved” shows of all time for many people, which obviously matters more to the individuals than the show’s overall ratings. Especially when you rewind…
This is the correct take, in my opinion.
That’s over 200 hours of film and TV, though. Vince Gilligan’s made far less, mostly just in one universe. Most of the major TV showrunners built their reputations on just one or two shows. And by pure running time, Joss Whedon’s resume is far, far longer than even prolific film legends like Spielberg and Scorsese.…
Black Widow is also the one female character in the movie, and she’s basically forced into a supporting role for the Hulk. Whedon’s earlier work had plenty of “odd” moments with his female characters, but it was always surrounded by other arcs you could point to. Even Angel season 4, while easily more disturbing than…
I can honestly see Tyler Hayward being wary about that, even assuming he isn’t secretly a villain. The Avengers would be biased. Half of them already went rogue to protect Wanda once; what if they try to protect her again? I’m not sure whether Monica/Jimmy/Darcy could directly their associated superheroes, unless they…
I agree about Wanda, but Bucky was flat-out mind-controlled using sci-fi technology. He definitely needed to be contained for practical reasons. And the Sokovia Accords were a responsible idea that the movies unfairly dismiss. But as far as culpability goes, Bucky wasn’t morally responsible for what other people…
It’s nonsensical from a rational perspective, but I find it completely believable that Wanda would say it. That line’s got a trollish self-righteousness that sounds a lot like somebody making a bad faith equivalence to get out of accepting any culpability for her selfish actions.
Elaborate, please...
I’m guessing this Pietro is just some guy in Westview who’s been cast as Pietro because Wanda (or some villain behind the curtains) didn’t have access to the actual Pietro’s body. He’s not the real X-Men Quicksilver, but technically a new character.
This episode definitely seemed to confirm an additional villain, probably doing a “deal with the Devil” type thing with Wanda, whether it’s Mephisto or someone else. That moment, Vision and Wanda both seeming to suggest that she wasn’t totally aware of how this started, and the SWORD agents noting how Wanda doesn’t…
No worries, I have some relatives there, so I know.
I post here for fun, not arguments, so if anything I wrote accidentally seemed hostile or trollish, I apologize for any stress that caused you. The world has too many real conflicts for rival interpretations of Marvel movies to be anything but friendly debates.
They explicitly state in the movie that they’re specifying that they come into the present, not the past. Hulk also later confirms that he was simultaneously wishing for Natasha’s return, but that part of the wish was denied. So it’s a multipart request no matter what.
Isn’t the current wish, “Bring back into the present everyone who was snapped five years ago, moving them to safe places if needed so that they don’t die, and also bring back Natasha if possible?” It’s already complicated. There’s nothing suggesting it has to be simple.
I think the nice guy who took over the massive security apparatus after a major character’s offscreen death, and got a notable introduction despite playing no obvious role going forward, is suspicious. And possibly Ralph/whatever comic book villain is Ralph, considering the law of economy of characters.
Then hold a press conference, ask everybody to think what they want, and then wish, “Bring back everyone who died in the past five years and ease the trauma of the survivors who consent.”
