I do agree with you, the MicroUSB port is their weakness, but on the two times it has failed me (after much abuse) I have just sent it back to them and gotten a replacement.

I agree with you completely but I finally caved in and upgraded from 10.6.8 to 10.8.3 because I really needed my iPhone to sync its contacts and calendars with Mac and iPad, and since the killing of MobileMe I hadn't been able to do so properly.
