No, they make it a bit easier, but do not solve the issue. IMHO, the only thing that solves the issue is General AI, which we are far off from. Until you can have something ‘Think’ like a human, or atleast a Animal, then you wont lick this problem.

Hah, neat.. I didnt know about that site. Given i’ll more then likely be dead in 2057, i’m not sure it’s worth the bet. :)
Oh yeh, it’s the next frontier for certain. Solve General AI, and you solve Autonomous driving. Before then, not so much..
Oy, okay.. But you actually proved my point. The Tesla didnt see the white trailer because of the white sky. Got it, thats fine. However, a human would have seen that and not even thought about it. Thats *ONE* scenario that they may have fixed, or not fixed.. I have no idea. What happens when it rains? When you have…
No offense, but you have zero idea what you are talking about.
No it doesnt. I know a bit about this, iv’e worked on AI projects before, and coded ‘Machine Learning’ algorithms (Maybe not the best word...). There is a definitive limit to what we are capable of 1) Programming, and 2) Designing in terms of chip sets.
Weird, well, if thats the metric, then I would put NYC lower on the list. NYPD is constantly scraping pedestrians off the hoods of cabs, and if there isnt a tourist Helicopter sitting in the Hudson on any given day, then it must be Christmas. :)
So, let me preface this by saying I *loathe* Trump. I hope he gets hit by a meteor that doesnt quite kill him, but leaves him in a vegatative state.
Yep, I have no clue how they will solve the issues.. I just can recognize a major problem with no clear answer. I can also see the way they are developing the cars and tell right away that its a dead end.
The science behind making this work is extremely difficult. Much more difficult then anyone is saying for some reason. Almost every application you uses is coded the same way ‘If X, do Y’ or a variation on that. Simple rule sets to execute simple commands that all add up to create a complicated environment (like your…
Yep, which is why I wont go to San Fran unless I absolutely need to for work. I hate that city with a passion.
Good catch, i’m not even sure what that means.. ‘Infrastructure Safety’.
In what fucking alternate reality if San Fran safer then New York? New York, IMHO, is the safest large city in the the western hemisphere.
I ate my last Wendys this weekend. I will never eat it again, unless left with no choice. There frys are downright disgusting, and everything else is just one big fucking grease ball.
Old post, but I appreciate the reply and the thought you put into it.
It’s totally fucked.. I saw a cat do this and was instantly scared of the dam thing. If it was 5x the size, I’m sure it would have done the same to me..
Glue traps are the worst things ever invented. I think the concept is they get there nose or something stuck to it and sufficate. In reality I have *never* caught a mouse that did that. They all died horrible deaths or chewed themselves out of the traps.
Double check that.. they used to have the ‘Chicken Selects’ years ago, but then ended that. Recently (the last 3 months) they have brought them back and re-branded them the ‘Buttermilk Tenders’ or something like that. They are the same thing.
Agreed with two caveats:
Today, McDonald’s is the largest restaurant chain in the world, with 37,000 locations in 100-plus countries.
