Karma's a bitch, I guess.

They’re not ignoring it. The SC changed the standard for ordering a return. The district judge said that even under the new standard, the kid still has to go back. This case is being governed by the Hague Convention on child abductions, which generally prioritizes returning the kid.
Queer is a super convenient way to organize people who would suffer under theocratic laws. That’s about it. Are you gay? Well, Christian nationalists (and other religious fundamentalists) want to pass laws that hurt you; you fit under the “queer” umbrella.
So. I did some digging and found this gem of an article from March of 2013 that Jezebel published not long after Anne had won her Oscar. It was written by Jennifer Wright (an editor at The Gloss).
Heard the zoomers are referring to the 90s as “the late 1900s.”
Even though they wouldn’t have an elective abortion...
The original linked article is really good. This is where my extended family live (Springfield/Joplin area). It’s not surprising to me that the woman describes herself as Christian and prolife, and then was surprised that she struggled to get care for a miscarriage/medical emergency, that a Christian crisis pregnancy…
Ahhhh...”whatabout whatabout ”... if it was a butcher knife instead of a gun, chances are also pretty low that he wouldn’t have injured two NCIS agents as well.
No. I am commenting on the fact many Americans think more weapons are the solution to reduce violence, which is highly illogical.
Show the the statistics about domestic murders by knife in Britain or shut the fuck up you fucking idiot.
Except that he wouldn’t have. Your argument is what’s known as a STRAWMAN. You know, where you make up some complete bullshit, and then ask the other person to argue on your terms, rather than facing the actual issue at hand - which you know you have no defense for.
In Britain, the police would’ve been armed with extending batons, possibly tasers, wearing anti-stab vests and trained in de-escalation and non-lethal takedowns. It’s probably harder than you think to rush police from a distance and inflict a fatal stab wound on the person they’re talking to, when they’re already…
You think if he started attacking his wife with a butcher knife, the two policemen present wouldn’t have had a much better chance of stopping him before he killed her? Knives can kill people, sure, but they don’t do it as quickly and easily, and they leave a lot more time and opportunity for other people to be heroes.…
These kinds of stories and accompanying facts are great reasons to stop relegating violence as an incel aberration because it’s something practiced by men regardless of relationship status and sexual activity.
Texas reply: “The only way this could have been prevented is if the woman and baby had their own guns as well.”
Different pigs, same bacon.
Not surprised by this at all. I was sexually assaulted by two in-uniform, on-duty police officers in Northern California in 1979 and never reported it because of serious threats they made. I’m surprised we don’t hear more about this, but the fear left in the victims is a vicious deterrent. That was more than 40 years…
Police don’t have true unions, police “unions” aren’t there to represent workers to the company like a real union they only exist to protect cops who commit crimes.
40% of police officers are domestic abusers. Sexual assault is the second most filed complaint against officers, after excessive force. The blue wall of silence is the front line of toxic masculinity which has now been hyper-militarized. ACAB. Defund the police.
You know, if you die inexplicably or under odd circumstances at work, your union should really be asking questions. And I mean with all the talk about protecting officers, you would really think the police union would be concerned about members dieing on the job.
