He was awesome. Was also was from my home town and I didn’t even know it.

I had a chance to meet this extraordinary young man and his mother years ago at his family’s restaurant here in Gary. He was working behind the counter, and we chatted about his love of cooking. Just an incredibly sweet kid. May he rest in peace, reunited with his mom.
