Yes. This. It’s a fire hazard and a liability issue. There is absolutely no fucking way that people didn’t know about this. None. Whoever was managing the building at the time signed off on this shit.

Yes, BUT someone would have to have known about this. You don’t just get to install a lock on your door in a commercial office building without people knowing about it.
Yeah I was going to say that I think it’s a “New York thing”, but I have nothing to back that up. I don’t envy you (well, I do if you get to tell them to go fuck themselves)!
Yeah the ONLY way this would be acceptable, maybe, is if every single private office desk comes equipped with such a button for “emergencies”. Even then... not really.
That article was written about me.
Have you tried it yet? Has it helped?
Ira Glass would somehow not surprise me, but that’s probably because I think he’s a bit of a dick. Colbert would crush me, but apart from my feelings about celebrities I don’t know personally, we need to tear EVERYONE out of the woodwork.
Wow interesting. Thank you!
I have a client who has a very similar mindset to Donald Trump as it relates to “deal making”. Interestingly, this client is also a real estate developer in New York City. It does make me wonder if this is just a cultural norm in that market - win/win isn’t good enough, you MUST make the other party feel like they’ve…
Wow thank you so much for this response! I really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for these recommendations! I will look into these.
Thank you! I tried asking my derm for it and she gave me an antibiotic instead, which destroyed me and put me in the hospital for a week (colitis). So I’ve been very apprehensive about trying prescription medication options since that (even though I know Spiro is not an antibiotic), but I should try again.
Thanks for this... I haven’t tried Accutane because my acne isn’t “that bad” (that’s what I tell myself anyway), but maybe it is time to try it.
Wow interesting... I have Nexplanon (arm implant). I don’t really love it for anything other than it’s easy and I haven’t gotten pregnant. It’s hard to say if my acne has changed since I’ve been on it.
Ugh... diet is my weakness. I love cheese. I did try cutting it out and didn’t think it made much of a difference, but honestly I didn’t really give it a lot of time (because I love cheese and am impatient). I know I need to try this again, and maybe the soy thing too. I hate elimination diets.
Wait, how? I’ve never heard of this
I do agree with you on this but I know that I (we) are in the minority. I don’t go on trips or vacations because I can’t bear the thought of boarding my dog and he’s not capable of being left with a dogsitter (severe fear/anxiety). He’s on paxil and has a behaviorist and a trainer. He’s a total fucking disaster and my…
I have PCOS too... thank you for the recommendations! I have never tried spiro and didn’t know metformin could help, though I doubt I could get a prescription for that one (my ony data point is that my boyfriend has asked his doctor for it and was told no, because he’s only “maybe pre diabetic” and not “actually…
So, yes, but it doesn’t always work out that way. Leaving the dog may well be what is best for it in this circumstance. We don’t know. My dog suffers from significant anxiety issues and I would never subject him to travel like that.
Honestly, if I had to move across an ocean, I would probably try to give my dog to someone else. It would be incredibly heartbreaking, but some dogs just really can’t travel like that. I don’t know that I could put mine through it. He’d be less distressed going to a different home.
