This is a stellar observation about Major Lazer and I 100% agree.

Jesse Watters is and always will be a piece of shit.

Mine also. I think your side effect is a good one, with one exception: when I do want to say something, I hate fighting for attention or trying to be the loudest voice in the room. So I end up feeling quietly outraged that I can’t say what I want to say because other people won’t shut the fuck up for five minutes. I’m

what. the. fuck.

This is a fabulous way to spite someone.

Damn. I am fucking delighted when my mail is full of sequins. I would eagerly welcome a glitter bomb.

I agree with this approach. I don’t think there would be as much criticism if (for example), white women would just end it at “I’m not a white supremacist” and not tack on “and I’m a white woman”. It’s not relevant. I get that people feel like it is, because they want to point out that even though MANY white people

I am getting to that point also. My dad is of course one of those people who thinks BLM and the KKK are interchangeable. He actually said, “BLM rioted and looted. What did the KKK do? Burn crosses?” We kept talking (online) I guess because I like arguing and also we’re often able to come to some reasonable agreement.

Yeah, same. My mom isn’t a monster, but she just could not cope with my mental health problems.

That’s funny, because I feel like they bend over backwards in an attempt to seem non-partisan. I mean yes, you’re right, many of the hosts and the stories they choose to air are clearly left of center, but they routinely invite conservative politicians on and they basically just let them spew their talking points and

Don’t get me wrong, I understand where he is coming from. But it’s still spineless. He doesn’t want to be told to fuck off, and in my humble internet stranger opinion, deserves to be.

Oh man. Cosigned.

I agree with you. Apologize, but don’t get pushy about getting a response or expect to be absolved. I think this is the right move. Yes, it can be uncomfortable for the employer, but that is the damn point. Maybe if the employer knows for a fact that the employee wouldn’t want an apology, then ok. Otherwise, go for

I’ve never seen that show (ETA just realized it’s a film, so I clearly don’t know), but this is a perfect example.

I don’t disagree about people overanalyzing, myself included. You are right. I can see your interpretation, but at the same time, you wrote “... the last thing he wants to do is call someone and have them tell him, to “fuck off and never talk to me again”

I started to write that I thought she was rude, but I couldn’t really explain it further so I stopped. I 100% agree with you. I think her rudeness is sold to the audience as “asking tough questions”, but it rubs me the wrong way.

I know I am in the minority but I don’t care for Terry Gross that much. I am struggling to articulate why, so maybe I don’t have a good reason.

If this is something you are willing to hear from me in person please call, or send me a note and I’ll call you.

I could not agree more. It’s too late for that shit. If the powers that be want to find out what you’re up to, they will. Paying cash at tolls is not going to save you.

All I know is that when I’m 60, I hope we have more advanced lip technologies. Their mouths are all pulled so tightly that they barely have lips left.
