It was beautiful and perfectly played by all involved.

Second that and I'd also like to apply that thought to Sophie Turner as well. I think both women are freaking AMAZING.
I think if Cersei found out her ancestral stronghold was taken by the dragon queen, she'd be a bit shaken up, don't you? So it's not a bad move at all, IF it succeeds. They REALLY need this win, basically.
It was probably just part of the fleet…the other part is going to Casterly Rock, I believe. And they couldn't have guessed Euron would be lurking around King's Landing waiting for them.
I would say the whole scene was done in a pretty serious manner but they did that cut away gag just to lighten things up. Like that scene in Jurassic Park where the velociraptors tore up that poor cow…they did a similar quick cut to sea bass but it didn't negate the fact that the raptors are ferocious predators.
But as a legendary naval fleet or whatever, they should be used to stuff like that, right?
Couldn't you find the boss of the ships based on the way they're lined up when they're sailing? Like maybe the captain's ship is always toward the end of the line or something like that? Maybe they even have some marking on the ship to denote where the head of the operations is.
Actually, Euron just mentioned in the last episode that Yara and Theon took away the BEST of the Iron Fleet. I can only surmise that the reason they were so easily defeated was because Yara and Theon didn't take the entire fleet with them to King's Landing…part of that went with the Unsullied to attack Casterly Rock.…
Could they rape/pillage an nearby foresty island and take their resources, perhaps? Maybe that's why the Ironbourne are known for their raping and pillaging?
Oh my God, I hope Cersei doesn't give the Dornes to The Mountain. And I think I'm gonna be seriously bummed out if Theon doesn't rescue Yara before Euron does any damage to her.
Aw, you don't even like Yara? Yara's kinda cool. Totally agree with you regarding Ellaria and the Sandsnakes though…even though I do feel bad at what will undoubtedly be happening to the two of them. Euron's soldiers looked a bit too happy when they declined to kill them.
I loved that as soon as Yara mentioned "a boy or a girl" in each port, Theon had that look of "welp, that's my cue to leave" and got up.
Oh no, I hadn't even thought of that; of course Littlefinger will fuck that up. Damn it. I was all prepared to cry my eyes out when the two sisters reunited too! I still get weepy whenever I rewatch the Jon and Sansa reunion scene. I want the Starks to reunite completely this season, dammit.
It was a cowardly move but totally understandable. There's no point in him being killed as well, which Euron would most definitely had done if Theon stepped closer.
To be fair, I don't think Tyrion expected Euron to be hanging around King's Landing at that moment. He probably thought that dude was still building ships back at Iron Island to replace the fleet that Yara and Theon stole.
Wow I thought she did more than fine against Conleth Hill and has always done very well next to Peter Dinklage. Conleth had the more dynamic role in that scene, but she more than held her own as the more subtle player. I loved every moment of that scene. I'm sure not many people could make Varys nervous but Dany sure…
OMG. This episode…I was screaming (internally so as not to scare my neighbors) SO MUCH in excitement. Freaking amazing! That first scene at Dragonstone! Dany facing off against Varys…seriously I don't know how anyone could say Emilia Clarke doesn't bring it because she brought the fuck out of it in that scene with…
I don't know about others but I was more upset about the writer of this article choosing to post the fucking spoiler IN THE TITLE OF HER ARTICLE thereby taking away any choice we had in the matter. If I clicked on the trailer and saw a spoiler scene, then that's partially on me. But all I did was go into my facebook…
Well I'm upset. The stupidity of that massively spoilery title really got to me this time because I couldn't even avoid the spoiler unless I completely unsubscribed from AV Club's Facebook page. The author could have easily made that title more vague but I guess she was desperate for attention or something. So sad.
I guess it would make sense if the monsters won and all the humans and their mechas were forced underground, but yeah, I agree, wish they came up with a more imaginative name than that.
