The Audi RSQ8 and some other giant SUVs are faster than actually fast sports cars though.

Americans are idiots, look who we elected President. Most people have no financial literacy and get played by the dealers, buying way too much car as well.

I don't know if cars are necessarily losing value faster, we're just addicted to cheap, abundant credit, increasingly long loan terms  and conspicuous consumption.

Most people are buying too nice / too expensive cars for their incomes and then compound it by getting loooong car loans.

Brought a trailer to Bring a Trailer.

We have to get tough on Canada. Why should they get to send all that cold weather down here and make it such an expensive problem for America. It’s a shame, the likes of which nobody has ever seen. They all say it. And then the asylums. The cold weather asylums. It’s like the Batman movie with Arnold. Remember Arnold?

We got a tiny bit of snow here in the Twin Cities over the weekend, and I had the pleasure of driving being a jerk who had barely cleared off his sedan as I entered the freeway yesterday. He’d wiped off about a third of his back window so he could see (the side he could get without walking his lazy butt around to the

He has the concept of a plan to deal with this by warming everything up so no more snow

Removal of snow from the roof of any kind of vehicle should be a legal requirement with criminal penalties if person or property is injured due to failure to so and fines otherwise.

In 2000 the local Chevy dealer had a great 1988 Honda Accord with a 5-speed. It was $800.

As of the 2025 model year, it won’t be available with one.

Awwww ya. Bring back cool vans. The current van market is abysmal. And the EV chassis is perfect for a van. It’s just a box on a skateboard platform.

Objective and fair, contrary to most political reporting, doesn’t mean that you have to somehow balance every negative with a positive. CR generally does have a rating system that allows for telling people to stay away from specific products. What makes it fair and objective is just the fact that the rating is based

Actually I don’t expect that. CR has been critical of their stuff before. If they are already reporting a 1/3 good/bad-weird behavior before a complete review, I can’t imagine that turning around.

If you asked the question, “Who is Nissan?” or “Who is Ford?”, you would get confused looks. Maybe some people would name the CEO, if they even knew who it was.

Absolutely. Some of the lobotomies weren’t recent.

Now playing

But they were not stuck, at not at 83 mph.

This has more to do with Tesla and not EVs in general.

Fortunately motor vehicle laws in the US currently still require brakes and steering to have a mechanical connection to the wheels. Tesla (and some other EV companies) are lobbying to go full fly-by-wire, so the next time this happens could be more interesting.
