I had a loaner A3 while my car was in for some service recently. It drove significantly worse than my wife’s Mazda 3, and the interior felt like it was scraped together from bargain basement parts. It amazes me that anyone would consider buying it at all, much less at FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS.

Jeeps are so bad on road and so unreliable I can’t see recommending any Jeep. the only reason to get the 2 door would be if you were going to use it as a dedicated off roader. The short wheel base is good off road but makes it even more unstable and reduces its towing capacity for on road use. It’s not about the rear

I don’t get the point of this over my 1000lbs+ lighter E350 wagon that also seats two extra sprogs in the back while being somewhat more nimble and almost certainly better riding and handling, be much lower and lighter. And you could get those with the completely unnecessary AMG V8 as well.

Valid callout since I didn’t explicitly explain this. Having had a TJ, a 2-door Jeep is just especially impractical on the road. I do have kids, and getting them in and out of the back was a nightmare. More problematic, however, was that I could barely carry anything in it. Maybe it’s just me, but the only redeeming

I’m fully behind this movement. It wasn’t until I’d signed the papers and been driving for a week that I realized the ride of my X3 M40 is total shit. That B58 six is an utter siren song and clouded my judgement. I’m not sure what I’m going to replace this with, but it might be a Genesis or something GM if BMW can’t

I’m mostly pleased it’s not a MAGA sign at this point.

I’ve never exactly been into motorcycles, but as I get older, the more I want one. Anyways enjoy the photo dump of Cars n Copters yesterday:

The liftoff oversteer functionality of the Mazda3 is a real joy! It was what made me realize that FWD wasn’t the antithesis of fun.

If you can’t find a picture of Musk where he doesn’t look like an unhinged lunatic, then I’m gonna need you to stop posting pictures of Musk.

Throw a set of sticky tires on, and maybe some lightweight wheels, and they’re sporty in any trim.
The only reason I traded mine in was because I needed a vehicle with a 3rd row. I tried to love the Mazda5 when I test drove one, but it felt like too much weight was added to the 3, and my wife couldn’t get over her

I had one and loved it. Did everything well from long drives to twisty roads. And great looking.

Even made a surprisingly good RallyCross car. Zoom zoom.

Yeah, that color is so killer. The only Mazda in that color I don’t like the looks of is the Mazda3 hatch. Drawing attention to that giant booty isn’t a great idea.

The Mazda3. Almost any trim in any generation.

The newer ones are really pretty.

GJ/GL generation Mazda 6. Comfortable, spacious, communicative steering, and perhaps some of the most fluid controls and driving behavior you’ve experienced in a car. There is a reason automotive journalists loved that car until the very end, because it drove and handled like nothing else in the segment. By comparison

Doesn’t have the turbo poking out the bonnet and hater pipe. Not bro enough for a Subarute.

If you actually cared about what’s “humane” in the USA, this (someone buying a lot along the border to leave it untouched) would be at the very bottom of a very long list of issues.

If only a bipartisan immigration bill could be crafted to relieve much of that problem. Wait! One was drafted and ready for consideration but Trumpsterfire directed his drones in the House of Republicants to scuttle it - preventing a Biden “win”. Oh damn.

Don’t you guys get tired of whining “sTiCk tO cArS” year after year?

Are you new? There are airline stories, maritime stories, industry stories, and media-personalities using transportation stories.

What I’m getting here is that Logan and Andy are cowards. Porsche gave you purple interior options, and you didn’t pick them? For shame
