My ‘96 Rav4 was ribbed and always pleasurable.

i want to know if there was a purpose beyond the aesthetic. does it add strength, or hide damage, or...

‘Cool’ is subjective...but is a Civic really that much cooler than a Forte these days? Most Gen Z I know wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference...

The key I noticed with the 2.5L (2015 hatch, 6MT) is to keep it just below the torque band if you don’t need to use it, almost like you’re keeping it out of the boost of a nonexistent turbo.

I had a 06 5-sp hatch with the 2.3 and the MPG was always a little bit disappointingl, but still *way* better than the 05 Saabaru 9-2x Linear 4AT it replaced.

It really depends on how you drive it and what your commute is like. I had a 2019 Hatch (FWD, auto) that I averaged 32.98 combined (about a 70/30 split). My 21 Turbo hatch (AWD, auto) I’m averaging 29.84 with the same split. Occasional romps in the turbo do drastically cut that or it could be higher.

Main reason people didn’t like Mazepin was because he was a pretentious dick on and off the track. Also, on the track, he was truly bad. Zhou on the other hand comes off as a very nice guy. Not a bad rookie season either.

Wait, so it could be a LOT of fun if you have a sports car that’s inexpensive, fun at legal speed, and comes with decent fuel economy? I could think of only one car that fits all of the above.

Swedish! Norway did you just say that. I’m Finnish-ed with you

The stiff ticket penalty makes speeding un-fjord-able.

Counterpoint: The 9-7X isn’t the worst Saab, it’s the best Trailblazer.

GMT360 platform.

For me, this ALWAYS comes to mind when talking about badge engineering:

This is not the greatest badge engineering in the world, no

I’ll shamefully admit I didn’t know about this history, and I (obviously) haven’t seen the movie.

Once you agree to buy something, its future value is irrelevant.
