BMW’s future styling direction is genuinely abysmal - on track to be the worst in the U.S. market within this decade, and the sole thing that will keep the company afloat is brand recognition (because it sure as shit isn’t going to be reliability or heat seaters that require a fucking subscription).

All things being equal, winter tires will perform better than all-season tires in wintry conditions.

Please dish.

I dunno, keeping a spotlight on these troglodytes is a public good.

My favorite DC protest. Someone organized a protest against the 55 mph speed limit. They had a moving road block of cars going exactly 55 mph around the beltway during rush hour. Paralyzed the city. Complete chaos.

It’s the dilemma of the contemporary American conservative activist.

It’s ownership percent, rather than pure numbers. There are likely more F-150 drivers with DUIs than there are Contours still on the road, but there are so many F150s out there that the percentage of owners is smaller.

I read this as saying that the people who drove these cars were more likely to have DUIs - it compared the ratio between the number of people with DUIs driving the cars against the total number of people who drove that car.  So it was adjusted for the number of total vehicles on the road.

Lots of pick up trucks.

My buddy has a Quadrifoglio and it is an absolute beast. Alfa put a lot of money into the car and the platform, and it absolutely embodies the focus on performance and beauty that classic Italian sports cars are known for. That comes with a couple visible compromises, like those beautiful bodylines resulting in tiny

I’m actually surprised there was a year where they sold 1/4 as many Giulias as BMW did 3-series. I rarely see those things, and there’s an Alfa dealership (with an always-full lot, I might add) a couple miles from my house.

I think this is more a recognition that their vehicles are overpriced.

Other person disappointed with a Cayman checking in. It’s alright.. it’s just not what everyone on the internet says it is. Same goes for the base-ish 911. It was great in the canyons and it looked really good. Other than that.. blah.

I had an F30 340i M Sport Manual I bought new (2017 MY).

Looks like they didn’t even blow their whole load here either. They saved the extended warranty pressure sale for when you actually arrived at the dealership.

They call that Xzilon now :D

We need a new version of the International Race of Champions. Stick the best drivers from all the motorsports series into identically prepped CUVs/eGTs/rental cars and let them loose on a Roval style course.

I would watch a series that involved a bunch of pro drivers in base model CRVs and Rogues driving a road course in a full-contact deathmatch type setup. That would be significantly more interesting than anything Nascar has done in the past several decades.
