Do you have any proposal for a replacement? We need something to describe the genre, and while “metroidvania” might not be an accessible word, it’s at least a functional one. “Exploration adventure” maybe? That’s unfortunately close to the so-generic-it’s-useless “action-adventure” genre, but it’s the best I can come

Wait til you hear about how it’s a fantasy world... based on a popular video-game!

I guess 'different strokes' and all that, because my response to that comic was "Corpse Run, tell me a better joke".

I hope I don’t have to send my son to a farm upstate. Look at that smile. May be the last time we see it

Pikachu and the entirety of Gen I.

They said every Pokemon from Let’s Go will be in it so the Genwunners needn't lose any sleep.

The game so nice they’re releasing it thrice!

It’s exactly what I wanted it to be. There was no need to reinvent the wheel here, this particular wheel works great. More wheels please.

You know what would have freed up development time to include every old Pokémon in Sword & Shield?

What an incredibly stupid, short-sighted design choice. Do GameFreak not understand that a huge portion of their fan base play to “catch ‘em all”? Why build Pokemon Home to be capable of importing your Pokemon Bank ‘mon, but not allow them to move forward?

hooray for paying more money for less content. Thanks Game Freak.

RIP catching ‘em all 1996-2019

I dunno, he’s kind of glossing over at least a few standalone lessons on architecture, scale, depth and perspective, etc. that I’d say are absolutely essential to successfully pulling this off as an inexperienced artist.

Reminds me somewhat of this one here. ;-)

I would love to list all the reasons why this reviewer is out of his mind, but it really just comes down to personal taste. "Flowers of Evil" is unlike 99% of other anime, and that alone isn't enough to make it watchable. If you want an anime that's a challenging endurance test of slow burn psychological torture, this

Thank you for the review. Let's move to this little piece, though:

Sorry Richard but I really can't wrap my head around the fact that you review anime adapted from manga without even slightly factoring this aspect.. I get that you are reporting the impression that a casual viewer could have, but when you go into the analysis of the finer points most of your critics could benefit from
