As much as I’d like the old canon, it would pretty improbable that they deviate from the moives even if they hadn’t hired Kurtzman.

You know that scene in Futurama, where the guys are sentenced to death by “snoo-snoo” and their faces cycle between ecstatic and horrified?

Based on the nu- Trek movies ??

YES! YES! YES! Now all I ask is that it please invoke the spirit of Star Trek, and not fall back on lazy references to continuity.

I sincerely hope it’s real canon. I can’t stand the JJ Abrams movies. They’re not Star Trek, they’re just sci-fi action with Star Trek IP.

Please be about space and science and exploration and idealism, and not just explosions.

Double boo, it’s Kurtzman producing it. Yeesh, that guy...

It’s just a damned shame that Kurtzman (or anyone else associated with “Nu Trek”) is involved.

Yay! New Star Trek.

My husband would commiserate. I’m THE WORST!

I have precisely the opposite problem (gender-wise) where my partner not only will not clean, but is one of the slobbiest people I’ve ever known.

Don’t you see that Sanders is actually trying to do what you want, but he’s doing it the right way: He can’t become president running as an independent, so even though he is not a Democrat, he’s running for the Democratic nomination. It’s his only realistic (and, I think, good) chance. Our only realistic reaction is

I don’t understand why we’re letting the chance slip away to have real change with Bernie Sanders. That tells me I can’t support the Democrats.

She responded the way she did because BLM has no leverage over her, and she doesn’t need to appeal to them to get the black vote. The other candidates have been pushed (though protests notoriously similar to this one) to lay out specific policy and they have. She hasn’t, even after meeting with them.

I think that was kind of why she originally responded the way she did. If she did have a policy all cut out of whole cloth, they would have torn it to pieces and accused her of trying to force her own misguided solutions on the community instead of asking what they wanted. It’s the quintessential problem for strong

No, it’s not. It’s a pretty good reply to protesters who won’t let her speak at her own event. What did you expect her to say? “ok, I’ll say and do everything you ask because yours are the only issues that matter”, or to let them take over her event? Other people were there to listen to Hillary, how is it fair to them

I think you’re missing the whole part where it isn’t just a title and a party (OR just a ring and a party). Again, that’s the wedding, not the marriage. A wedding is not a marriage.

Recommending people seek out military bases sounds like advice coming from someone who didn’t watch the last 20 minutes of the documentary 28 Days Later.

It’s not “going over their heads”, that’s how our legal system is supposed to work. The courts are supposed to apply the laws, and interpret if and when they apply if a situation doesn’t appear to fit precisely in any one box. The legislature is supposed to take notice when the law doesn’t fit a situation, and pass

Derp, of course when I say “get your facts right”...I got my facts wrong. But still, my defense stands. I’ve never seen a change happen so fast on any level.
