It is not about spreading information any more, it is about disrupting and shutting down the system. Oddly, they rarely protest at police stations, but prefer to keep people from buying gifts for their children or visiting their families for the holidays. Maybe they can block the entrance to a children’s hospital next.

She wasn’t interfering with anyone. It was the bus driver who got up and demanded she move and then refused to go anywhere until she had been forced off and taken to jail.

If you don’t say sorry online what do you do? Door to door? Take out an ad on tv? Do an interview with Barbara Walters ? What is her alternative ?

No, she means the general population being unable to differentiate between a joke that pokes fun at the asshole vs. a joke made at the expense of an entire group of people because the joke deals with race in some manner.

To be fair-ish, didn’t Chris Rock stop performing at colleges for more or less the same reason? He and a few other minority comedians probably feel the same way Fey does.

...That escalated quickly.

An entirely reasonable comparison that any reasonable person would draw.

Aww. You’re one of those assholes. Look: Just because I haven’t experienced it personally doesn’t mean that my sympathy is worthless. If you were a POC or an ally, you’d get what I’m saying, but you’re trying to stuff your dick up your ass, so I’m just going to sit on the sidelines and tell you kindly what a waste of

Truthfully, I don’t know that any other juried system is any better. It’s more just a deep sadness that people seem to be so blind to the systemic shit that POC live with every goddamn day. I can empathize, but I can’t really imagine what it’s like.

They’re just atheists, really. They don’t actually worship Satan, they just call themselves Satanists because it annoys fundies.

I’ve met many members of our Detroit chapter, and they stick to defending people’s rights, putting up their Snaketivity on the Capitol lawn (this year it will be joining the Cruz campaign’s nativity scene), and protesting Planned Parenthood protestors.

They don’t worship Satan. If you google their tenets, they highly value bodily autonomy, compassion, and science. Which is why they’re fighting for religious and personal rights.

They’re not really Satanists. Just trolling fundamentalist Christians with the name.

In general, the members of the Satanic Temple are not satanists and do not worship lucifer. They're mostly Athiests who are trying to make a point about Christianity bleeding into government.

You probably wouldn’t know unless you happened to ask the right question. The actual Satanists I’ve met - as opposed to attention-seeking pretenders - tend to be very low-key, mellow people.

If empty churches were safe places to leave an unwanted baby, that would be covered under the Safe Haven law.

Of all the spots inside the church she could have chosen to set her baby down she probably chose the nativity scene because nativity scenes include a little baby bassinet for the baby jesus. It’s not rocket science.

Wow. She found a safe place to leave her baby that she was clearly incapable of taking care of.

Why would a nativity scene inside a church be any less safe than anywhere else inside a church? He’s a newborn, not a toddler. He’s not going to roll over, crawl away or do anything besides cry and draw attention to himself.

I think she tried to leave the baby in a place where it would be found quickly. The crib of a nativity scene is a very eye-catching place and pretty comfortable for the baby I guess.
