I very much respect your ideals. Further, I share your desire to eliminate the Electoral College. It seems we agree on many issues: the parties’ starnglehold on the debates, a more pluralistic process, the media’s distorted role as self-appointed role as king maker.

I appreciate your reference to Ross Perot. He is undoubtedly the most successful 3rd party presidential candidate of our time. Just sticking with the data, however, we see that a great many fed-up conservatives, and even Libertarians, cast their ballots for Perot. But your point is well made,
