I’ve watched a couple episodes and so far, I like it. Note to the Marvel haters, they managed to make yet another C-list character interesting. I am repeatedly struck by how one-dimensional characters from the comics, eg. Punisher, have been given nuance and development from their cookie cutter sources in these

Who cares? Every single microscopic character and plot element does not need to be interconnected. Having said that, Sif appeared in SHIELD a couple of times, and all of the MCU/Netflix shows have referenced “the incident” presumably the Chitauri invasion.

Re: Terminator franchise - Is there really a demand for another one? Seems like it has run its course.

I am very skeptical that Disney will actually make a movie with an Asian cast. If they either whitewash or insert a new caucasian character, it’s going to be a problem for me.

Touché

re: Powerless, perhaps they should promote it some more. It’s at least as funny as Big Bang Theory and would appeal to a similar audience.

Looks like the Collector and Grandmaster are going for the same vertical lipstick look. Is it some sort of cosmic frat boy thing?

I’m down with that. She’s terrific in Atlanta.

The horror...

I’m pretty sure most of the people involved in the movies don’t know or care about continuity from the comics. Regardless, Marvel beat them by a long shot and continues to eat their lunch.

“Darkseid does indeed appear in Justice League...” MCU beat them to it, so no matter how they handle it, it will seem derivative. Ironic.

Boss. Omar’s coming!

Sweet. Eagerly awaiting Godzilla vs King Kong, 21st century edition!

Never read these books, so... how does a race that shuns technology get off their planet? Never mind going to another galaxy.

*cough* Adam Warlock *cough*

“During the Oscars’ red carpet pre-show, Mel Gibson confirmed to Entertainment Tonight he’s in active talks to direct the sequel to Suicide Squad...”

This looks like the movie Prometheus should have been. Yeah!

“Stephen Moyer has joined the cast in one of the series’ lead roles: Reed, a father who learns his children are mutants...” Is his son’s name Franklin by any chance?

I love how the show mimics the story arc format of comics. They even gave a shout out to Bob Harras in the end credits for the plot elements from his Nick Fury versus SHIELD mini-series.

The story always had cinematic potential. The concern is the absence of discipline in storytelling and film craft that has been evident in the last few movies. DOFP was so good until the last act unraveled disastrously, and Apocalypse was just bad.
