The expectations of Star Wars fans — the most impossible-to-please fandom in history, who will piss and moan and bitch to the high heavens no matter what happens — are the last and least considerations anybody should take into account when making a Star Wars film. Rise of Skywalker should have proved that already.

The movies all came out in mid-December, so the people who saw them in the theaters associate them with the holiday season. (Tolkien was a devout Catholic, but there’s nothing explicitly Christian about the novel or the movies, and that’s probably why they have a broader appeal than Lewis’ Narnia or the media based on

They all came out just before Christmas, so there’s definitely an association with this time of year. I often end up doing them at some point in December.

The extended Return of the King came out right before Christmas in 2023. So, we did a marathon that year on New Years Day.  The three movies were the perfect length to just sit on the couch nursing a hangover.

The latter. People argue they’re vaguely holiday-y because there are elves, magic, good vibes, and part of the story takes place on December 25 (although there’s nothing significant in the story about that date to the characters, and the date is never mentioned in the movies outside of September 22 and October 24).

The fact that this parasite is running case after case to keep himself enriched is disgusting. There is no public benefit to the cases and the points he is arguing are entirely subjective. The ONLY purpose of this is to generate fees for his own profit.

Notably, the lawyer representing the plaintiff in this Hershey case is also behind the Burger King and Taco Bell class action lawsuits.”

Yeah, totally the same thing. Because State A has full control over what State B legislates.

Doubt if a single teenager in those states would be affected by the ban, they are more savvy about VPNs then any lawmaker

And yet people still insist that billionaire are billionaires because they are smarter than the rest of us. Just ridiculous. Then again, most of those still believing that are twitter bots.

AI can’t replace journalism, but it can certainly damage the industry by making it less profitable.

They’re protecting the copyrighted material that belongs to them, and by extension, ths humans who produced it. Copyright only matters if it's defended. It’s not hard to understand.

You only need to look at how the mainstream media outlets are tripping all over themselves to handwave away Trump’s insurrection after the Colorado Supreme Court ruled he could not appear on the primary ballot to know...The people in charge want him back. And if he comes back, we can probably kick actual elections out

Yeah, since when has media ever been political??

Seriously, why are people still so undyingly loyal to this POS? Do they just feel like fools for voting for him in 2016 and still can’t ever admit to being wrong?

Those aren’t Musk’s ideas, though. Tesla existed before Musk, and Tesla doesn’t make anything that I want to drive. Re-usable rockets have been talked about since the 90s. SpaceX based their design on previous designs from NASA.

Dismiss your Royal Bigness troll please.

She doesn’t understaaaand, maaaaaan, Elon is playing 99 dimensional chess, so far above us we can’t possibly understand, this is obviously necessary to get to Mars and not just an angry toddler lashing out.

Sounds like she sold out after being contacted by someone from Tesla. Doesn’t surprise me, you have to have bought in pretty hard to say that Iger shouldn’t have stopped his advertising in the first place. Maybe a calculated move, knowing theres a good chance the wolds most insecure billionaire might offer to pay her
