All these Twitter alternatives fail because they become echo chambers that ultimately realize the necessity of moderation, so they never take off. Because Twitter lets them do the one thing they really want to do on social media - trigger the libs.

Why do so many goddamn grown adults not understand that being banned for violating a company's terms of service isn't in any way a threat to your freedom of speech?

How high are you right now?

Elon Musk is why you should never, ever give weird nerds power and money.

You guys, I’m starting to think the guy might be a tad bit narcissistic maybe.

It seemed like a quick change the way I remember it. Like, as a child I was dragged to Kmart often enough, and I remember them looking like any other store. But sometime near my high school graduation I remember reading a bunch of stuff about how the company was bankrupt, and almost immediately the stores all turned

I think I was maybe 9 years old the last time I saw a K-Mart that didn’t look like a set from some post-apocalyptic zombie movie. Barren shelves, crap piled in random aisles, flickering or dead lights, mysterious puddles of multi-colored liquid everywhere. It’s like the stores themselves had gained sentience and

I’m sure they vary a bit, but the Kmart that was around here was always a mess. Like a tornado went through the store or something. It was like no one bothered picking things up off the floor. Just random stuff scattered about.

Being a great singer doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a great frontperson. It’s not all about raw talent.

Hop Along was my first post-quarantine show and they brought the house down. Frances nailed a cover of “Don’t Leave Me This Way” - her voice is so dynamic and it made me want a whole album of disco songs from her. Banger of a list, in my opinion!

Lmao, this must be judd apatow’s account

AVC’s fallen so far that even the gimmick commenters suck now

User name checks out.

Hughes didn’t say it. It’s a quote from Harry Lennix, who clearly means it sincerely.

I just figured that was The Island from LOST

Will Smith created an existential crisis for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. The incident was such a jolt to societal norms that it will gnaw away at our national conscience until somehow properly atoned for.

Please tell me where in this article, or any avclub article any of that happened, I haven’t read any of that so I assume you’re confused.

Seems a bit excessive.
