No, it’s like receiving a literal perfect copy of the Mona Lisa for free vs. paying for a receipt that claims you own the Mona Lisa sitting in a museum, crossing your fingers that the asset doesn’t lose value before you can flip it (its only real purpose)

We have a common language where all 3D assets are able to interact, it’s called Unreal Engine. Or, you know, any other game engine.

Well that’s theoretically the idea, to just create a common space and language where all those 3D assets and whatnot should be able to interact and then building tech off of that.

The commentariat isn’t defensive or insulted

“metaverse” as a tech concept is broader than just VR but also ropes in AR and kinda just any and every 3D asset within the hypothetical “-verse.” it has some cool implications for future day-to-day “smart” stuff even if someone’s not into VR.

i think the last MCU movie i saw was the first GotG so my opinion means nothing, but from an outsider’s perspective, the marketing for this is substantially worse than the marketing for the other MCU stuff in recent years, everything I’ve seen about Eternals has made it look boring and cheesy

this is true, but i also don’t remember the commentariat way-back-when being so defensive and insulted when the newswires were snarky. in the reviews themselves when the fans showed up sure, but most people knew that snarky newswires were more like threads for us to comment on and for the site to gain traffic rather

So I think that that will be the way that his music will be released, through the GTA video game

He Doesn’t Seem To Fully Understand”

“…shoot each other to the music of Jason Derulo.”

that was absolutely the worst State of Play yet lol

there are about a thousand different easy ways to make things look like they’re moving by themselves that amateur magicians and basic haunted houses use all the time. one of your college drinking buddies was fucking with you.

“30 year member of Omega Psi Phi”

i know this is a troll, but the spins on this are fun.

The screener leaked over the weekend

true, though i guess that depends if there’s a difference between a short film and whatever this is

when something like this would pop on YouTube and studios would think “hey, we’d get a ton of goodwill from greenlighting this.”

about whether it’s “too soon” to do a film about 9/11 or so-and-so ‘beloved celebrity’ is that they made a film about the Titanic disaster that came out literally a month afterwards and starred one of the people who survived it.

my friends are for some reason adamant that people in Hollywood aren’t juicing. their argument is just “it’s too dangerous, they care about their health, and they have so much free time to do it” lol. of course, i don’t have any hard evidence otherwise so my argument was shit

the closeup pic is even better
