Well, the idea that windows is Designed to run on any hardware is arguable. Its more like hardware manufacturers write device drivers to enable windows to run before anything else (like Linux or BSD) and then hold a monopoly on device drivers for that hardware by not releasing a spec to write drivers for it yourself.

at that point it isn't a Windows PC now is it? its just a PC that runs Mac OS.
