The one thing I might replace at this point is the sloppy shifter setup. It has almost as much play as the 90's Saabs where you had no idea whether you were starting in first or fifth! I swapped the old illuminated wooden shift knob for a ZHP knob and that had a surprising improvement on feel due to its shape and

I had a ‘17 GTI Sport for four years (like an idiot I let Carvana buy it from me for stupid money - I regret that). It wasn’t QUITE as nicely built as my BMWs, but it was darned close. Considering it was basically half the price that is impressive. Not a single issue with it in four years.

all of this, all day long

I always had the 6s. Always reliable.  Retired before the cvt

Otherwise, just buy something cheap and turn it into a true race-car, and that’s way more fun than using your ‘fun’ car as an occasional track car.

but for those who don’t have an at-home charging solution, allow yourself ample time and charge to get to a public charger.

Isn’t the issue with the Golf, and well many other performance cars, a reliance on an E-diff instead of a true LSD?

This. The AI won't say "No" right?

My guess is they don’t want to hire actual women because they don’t think they can work with someone like this without sexually harassing her

As a former owner of an e39 M5 and current owner of an e36 M3, I agree with you. There was a time I kept up with every new BMW model, that changed sometimes in the late 2010s and other than a couple of years daily driving a 2013 Mini S JCW, I can’t say I have any interest in any BMW that is less than 20 years old.

I’m really loving the trend in recent years of enthusiast cars having strong demand for manual transmissions. I think the people who buy fast cars for bragging rights etc have mostly moved onto electric vehicles, so the people still buying M2s are proportionally more enthusiasts who care about the experience.

A savvy defense lawyer could pin this crime on Siri. Case closed your honor. Yes I’m a real lawyer, No you can’t see my law license. Filibuster.

Neptune blue is an awesome color. That’s how my cousin spec’d his BRZ, except in the Subaru Sapphire blue. I hope you’re able to get an allocation before too long, they are great cars.

But Wes, the AWD on my forester let’s me pull out of that greasy parking lot more quickly so that I can cut off grandma rushing home to feed her cats that fancy new wet food she bought at the grocery store. Without that AWD I would just be spinning my tires!

The soul red is so good. But I heard it’s awful for rock chip touchup or panel blending if you’re in a fender bender. So we went with the dark blue on my wife’s CX-5. It’s an awesome color.

That “soul red” is just riveting, though!!

Honestly, all the actual colors offered by Mazda for the CX-50 are great. The blue, tan and red are all great colors/shades.

We did this trade and love the Mazda.  My wife had a 2014 Forester, had a lot of the same complaints this fellow had, particularly the CVT and unsupportive seats.  We replaced it with a CX-5 (before the CX-50 arrived) and we both love it.  If you can land a CX-5 or CX-50 in your budget, particularly with the turbo,

That CX-50 in red is just <chef’s kiss>

Came here to see how long it took for someone to answer with the obvious - The Mazda CX-50. Pleased it was first comment. Carry on, people.
