I would’ve stolen that white Civic (joking though), but then again, I know how to drive a manual. These kids would’ve failed to steal any vehicle that would’ve had a manual gearbox in it :D

Have to disagree that it’s a stupid myth, or even just a myth at this point. Sure, there’s no difference between an auto or manual on the highway, when you’re just cruising in a straight line for hours in top gear. But every other situation, you’re STILL thinking twice about drinking your latte, texting etc with 5/6…
“Valentine is now facing four criminal charges – including burglary and receiving stolen property, according to the New York Post. He remains at Waukesha Country Jail on $50,000 bond. So far, Valentine is the only suspect who has been caught. The eight others remain on the loose.”
Ex-R53 MCS owner here. Was the best iteration of the Cooper IMHO, and that supercharged engine was an absolute peach. Of course, it was still a pain to work on and had plenty of issues. I’m sure the latest Coopers are less problematic than either R53 and R56, but that’s a low bar in itself. Compared to anything else…
Ok, so the Mini was a terrible suggestion, let’s be honest. While they can be fun (not much more than the GTI), they are definitely not ‘reliable.’ $30K is good money for either a decently MK7 / 7/5 GTI or Golf R, which are both fun to drive and excellent daily drivers, not to mention their tuning potential. And the…
Didn’t get a chance to experience the current Scirocco, but it’s definitely on my list of cars to import (15-year rule in Canada). As a GTI / Golf R fan and owner, an even smaller / lighter 3-door hatch with the 2.0T and performance mechanicals sounds like a fun. As far as the EV version, thanks, but no thanks !
Like I’ve been saying, EVs (and also most hybrids) are disposable vehicles. Gone are the days of keeping a car on the road for 10+ years without much fuss, unless you’ve bought a modern-day ICE econobox. I have a feeling Jeep is gonna do a major recall on their hybrids soon...considering what the owners have been…
I understood your point, I’ll bet the same explanation was there for the whole Geo brand to even exist. In Canada, I remember when GM also introduced the Asuna brand, and every one of those cars were terrible too.
Nobody is talking about “affordability.” It was an absolute terrible convertible
What is this trash ?
Well, this is one way of creating hype for the new manual transmission BMW Z4. It’s the same damn manual gearbox ZF has been supplying BMW for decades now, with minor changes here and there, I don’t see where the development costs are coming from. Even the Jag F-Type has the same ZF 6-speed gearbox. Getting the manual…
Correct, target fixation should be at the core of riding. People definitely need to be told about “counter-steering” at higher speed, but target fixation is what will get you where you need to be, and not just counter-steering.
Depending on the type of motorcycle you ride, you must practice enough to judge between when to push the handlebars in the opposite direction, and when to use that in conjunction with shifting your body. As someone who rides a SuperSport, your handlebars don’t have a lot of travel (lock to lock), so moving around…
I had a beautiful Saab 900 that I was forced to change both front suspension components on, because a pothole on I-696 was almost a foot in depth and circumference. Also had to buy a new rim and tire. Not exactly easy on a car that is over 30+ years old from a now-defunct brand. I still live out here because the…
Leave it to Koenigsegg when it comes to over-engineered stuff for the One-percenters. And a great example of this is their ‘Engage Shift System.’ As an engineer who worked on DCTs for over 10 years, let me tell you, I don’t even know where to begin describing this gearbox. Just look at the shift linkage mechanism…
Michigan would go broke in a week if they ever did that
