Because he’d been disgraced in America after slapping a couple of soldiers, but the Germans didn’t realize that the US was serious about that.
Ah, the good old days. When Russia was run by a harmless drunk, and the US was run by a harmless philanderer. Well, harmless unless you were an intern. But globally speaking, yeah.
Our first fully caged racecar was a slushbox 2.2 impreza L. We would have it out in every run group with different drivers and it just took it without issue. We were often used as the example for the passing flag during the driver’s meeting. “If you see this flag and that P.O.S Subaru behind you, move. He’s faster…
Maybe, but since a hundred Bernie’s will never be elected to Congress you take what you can get, right? Maybe it takes a strong leader to convince citizens that there is a better solution. Maybe a strong President can make the changes required to gradually change the system. Who knows. But if you just keep voting in…
Which is why I'm supporting Sanders in the primary. I don't see him as being any less hamstrung by his platform or socialist label than Hillary is by her baggage, so as far as I'm concerned I might as well vote for the person I believe is going to push harder for the things I want to see done. And again, even if he…
I’m not a fan of the latter having any influence in Congress, but it stands to reason that she could use those connections to strongarm Congress into getting something done.
So, a nicer way of saying she is more corrupt.
I think Clinton and Bernie will both accomplish the same thing, should they win the election: Nothing except passing budgets, SCOTUS appointment(s), and preventing the republicans from unilaterally enacting (or removing) legislation.
This. I have yet to see anyone reasonably explain how a congress that wouldn’t work with Sanders would somehow play ball with Hillary, who is the embodiment of the two things they hate most: Clintons and women. Congress giving Hillary Clinton an inch on anything? Talk about pie in the sky, magic wand waving and…
Along those lines are the people praising her ‘pragmatism’, the same pragmatism that led her to support the Iraq War and to be against marriage equality. I’d much rather have a Democrat as President that just vetoes the shit out of everything the Republican House and Senate send their way* (and accomplishes nothing…
thinkpiece idea: “man who has been in congress for 20 years just doesn’t understand how congress works”
Undecided voter here who is trying hard not to get involved with internecine Democratic turf wars, but-
Agreed 100%. It's also a lot more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.
A lot of things have changed since the original negotiations. Martin O’Malley has dropped out, for one. It’s rather cynical and completely unsubstantiated for you to assume these are strategic moves on Sanders’ part.
As I said in the post, shipping lanes. It doesn’t always have to be about land. An article I posted in another reply lays out the specifics.
Ahh, gotcha, and yes, China does have a very flimsy claim to actual territory in the Arctic, which is why I believe, as another commenter noted, they’re trying to buy some from Greenland :)
Unsure if you’re calling my argument flimsy or not, but in case you are, this might be a useful read.
I believe it's more a matter of shipping routes than resource claims for China.
Is this a 2016 STI review or an errant CarDomain post?
