Maybe, but this was still a piece of shit. It wasn’t that old when I drove it (yes, I’m old).

Replacing bushings on old, tired suspension does wonders for a car.
Once I was eating out with my family, and my grandfather said he had to “stretch his legs.” He walked up and down the length of the restaurant audibly farting, as we all sat there trying to pretend he wasn’t. Other customers just stared at him, but nobody ever said anything.
I’m getting goose bumps just thinking about the USA chants for him during the drivers parade.
Well the internet loved my TSX Sportwagon, but of course, no one bought one.
Reading through all your replies it’s like you have a hard-on for suffering through more traffic than the rest of us. That’s not something to be proud of, it just makes you seem like an idiot for willingly putting yourself through it. I live in one of the most congested cities in America but as a result of my choices…
Easily, people are mad. And in my Jeep wrangler with a 3.09 rear axle (tallest gearing, was the only option without going up another trim) there was no way you could let the clutch out and have it grab enough to get you moving without stalling.
Weird. With the Miata, I could put it in first, and just hold the clutch at the engagement point and not move an inch on even the steepest hills. Just the lightest touch of the throttle, and I was moving.
I use the 4 low crawl gearing in my jeep for this. I can inch my way forward at near idles speeds in stop and go traffic. As long as i dont need to exceed 35 or so.
You don’t move in a manual like you move in an automatic. Don’t try and mimic those mannerisms unless you have to keep the gap tight.
Wait 4 car lengths then let the clutch out quick. If you get the rhythm right you can keep your car moving slowly while the traffic around you stops.
If you can figure it out get behind…
Or just keep it in 1st and keep a car’s distance and let it roll. Easy clutch helps with this though.
The game will prepare him for basically NOTHING when it comes to driving a manual.
It’s a lot more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow.
All of these are wonderful reasons to just drive. If it’s less than ~15 hours away, and it’s not for a quick work trip or something, odds are I’m in the car. To hell with airports and their crap.
Dieselghazi?
Well, more powerful than a 12V engine anyways.
Driving stick almost feels Steampunk now. Love it!
Hey duck.
We’re reaching the point of diminishing returns in fuel efficiency. Hybrids can ony get so much better, and people are slowly realizing it.
