As unpopular as it will be to say it I agree. That's the (only?) upside to the publisher model, there's someone watching the bottom-line like a hawk and who is perfectly willing to bring the hammer down.
It's not too far off. Just look at the intro for "Knightmare" (which I feel is more or less the 80's equivalent to Dark Souls)
This game doesn't look that great. It looks like standard roll-to-move with random events that you draw from a deck of cards.
