Oh, please. When will people stop using the 3G running iOS 4 as an example of how horribly unoptimized iOS is? Using this example either shows that you have a lack of knowledge/analysis or that you're a troll.

A device does not "look" for new push notifications. That's the opposite of how push works. With push, a server somewhere does the heavy lifting and then "pushes" a notification to your phone.

It's not, and no one has been claiming that it is.

I think the most obvious reason is that an ethernet port does not physically fit on the thin Pro.

1Password doesn't store any of your info on their servers. The app creates an encrypted file that you store locally (or on Dropbox), which is your database of passwords. Your master password is your encryption key. Even if 1Password is hacked, your passwords are safe. (Just as long as the hackers don't get your

Yes, but T-Mo is refarming its network to become compatible with the iPhone. This hasn't been completed in very many places, but it's coming, apparently.

If a company is dying, chances are it will die. Just because one company miraculously turned around and surged to become the most valuable company in the world doesn't mean every other dying company will do the same.

Oh, wow. I didn't know that. I thought all of them used AMOLED. But yeah, it seems that only the 7.7" model uses AMOLED.

The iPad has an LCD display, so no, it would not save power. The backlight lights up the whole display regardless of what color is being displayed; the difference in power consumption would be negligible.

... oh. I totally misread your post.

How is that off topic? You said that if students are in a class they should have the right to do homework for another class. Batman said no. And he's right.

When did you go to US high school? In the past one to two decades it has gotten ridiculously competitive.

Are you saying someone who intentionally abuses the network, thereby degrading the service of everyone around them, isn't a douchebag?

"for every "douchebag" who dares to use as much data as they want on an unlimited data plan, there's probably 200 or more that use 0.5GB or less"

Can you please explain why this is outrageous? It's not. He's right; unlimited data was a horrible idea.

Because of the novelty factor, which is all Samsung has going for it.

But we're past the days of simply expecting our technology to have good specs and work. We expect our technology to be well-designed, too. Apple, Nokia, and HTC get it. Samsung does not.

When people talk about build quality, usually they mean design. Which Samsung absolutely sucks at. I don't think they even have designers.

Ruggedness =/= good design. By your logic, the Motorola Defy is the prettiest smartphone of all time. (Though it is prettier than 99% of Samsung smartphones.)

Yeah, the Galaxy Nexus looks nice from the front. But it's total shit on the back. The design of the back singlehandedly ruins the phone. Ugh. If you looked at the phone only from the back, it wouldn't look out of place in 2005. Seriously. Samsung is the worst phone manufacturer ever, because they spend literally no
