You know, maybe rather than being a douchebag, he's implying that if you have a ridiculous amount of money, you should give most of it away, because to you the difference between a billion and a million doesn't mean much, but to starving children in Africa, it does.

Your comment makes no sense.

You're an idiot if you draw an equal sign between "happy -> homosexual" and "homosexual -> stupid".

Giz, stop justifying the lackluster specs on Nokia phones! You guys are such Nokia fanboys!

Early builds of Android were actually previewed and leaked.

1. That's not the same thing that Apple's patenting.

I'm not even talking about hardware. Android OS looked like BB OS before the iPhone came along.

No, the difference is that his comment actually says something. Comments don't have to strictly stick to the immediate topic at hand, but it should at least say something.

Oh, I guess you're right. Whoops.

I propose a world where people would actually think about what they say before saying it.

It was actually filed in 2005.

You didn't read the article, did you? Or even the headline?

I'm not going to argue with you over what constitutes a personal attack. That's not the point of this discussion.

Also, Android hasn't been doing this "since launch." Have you even used Android 1.x? You unlocked the phone by pressing "menu" on the lock screen. The "slide to unlock" feature Android phones have today was introduced in 2.0.

I'll repeat. When Apple is mentioned, half the internet has automatic violent reactions. Reporting on Apple gets pageviews, so obviously when you google "patent lawsuits" you're going to see mostly Apple-related stories.

This is not an example of a company abusing the patent system, nor is it an example of how our patent system is flawed. Please stop crying about how our patent system needs reform if you don't even know what a patent is.

You can't just go around patenting things so you can profit off of other people. That's not how the patent system works. That's not what Apple is doing.

Yeah, those aren't personal attacks.

Could you explain how Apple is the d-bag in this situation?

Wow, what the fuck? Personal attacks not necessary, dude.
