Be careful with the 529 changes. The last time Congress loosened the rules on what 529s could be used to pay for, it was subject to individual states deciding whether or not they wanted to go along. So check your local state’s laws before using that money for pre-college expenses, etc.

I’ve had very bad experiences with USB wifi adapters on Windows 10, even from well-known brands (no name, no lawsuits, but one rhymes with “Getnear”), across several different desktops and multiple USB 2.0 and 3.0 cards. I *strongly* recommend biting the bullet on a PCIe card if you have room.
