Apparently, we didn’t jail enough executives yet

The reason dumb shit like this keeps happening is because Hollywood is such a small and incestuous business, full of not very smart “creative executives”. First some spec writer comes up with a newish twist - let’s say “The Young Robin Hood Chronicles”. Never mind that it doesn’t make any sense in context of the story.

As a customer I also feel awkward whether or not I put my change in the tip jar. I don’t think counter staff should solicit tips, but I feel guilty if I don’t tip, and I feel manipulated if I do tip.

MoviePass: “We’re selling dollars for 60 cents!”

perhaps seeped in racist and sexist undertones

It sounds like they are looking at his contract to make sure they do it right, i.e. without ending up owing him a wheelbarrow full of money.

If it comes with pre-programmed adjustments for highway driving, I’m all for it. So many people out there seem to have no idea how to properly adjust their mirrors.

...I’m never getting out of the grays, am I?

I’m still not convinced replacing a perfectly fine mirror with a an entire camera and screen system is necessary or even wise

Yes. Next question.

I wish I could get my wife to read this. Once I ask my teenager to do something, he has an internal “countdown clock” that has to expire before he feels like he’s doing it on his own terms rather than because he was asked. After that, he will do whatever it is quietly, even happily.

“Mirror Cap — Gloss Black $450". Outrage. I don’t even know what a Mirror Cap is, but for that kind of money I expect it in Piano Black to match the rest of the interior, not Gloss.

On behalf of straight men everywhere can I just say: please ignore the people telling you to do anything to your vulva or vagina. It’s perfect just the way it is and we love all of them.

Sure he can have a second chance... at something appropriate to his behavior. I bet he’d be really good at collecting discarded rental electric scooters in San Francisco for the bounty, for instance.

“I am extremely sorry for the way you feel” is not an apology.

I honestly can’t work out whether you are genuinely this dumb, or just trolling?

I think what he’s trying to say is “I’ve made a huge mistake”.

Now go back and rethink your post life

I had the same call last year except it was for $1000, and it was for a mortgage. (I won’t name the bank for obvious reasons, but it’s who you are very probably thinking of...). I just said “That’s a shame, since we have a signed contract” and it was never spoken of again.

Why do they do that? Try touching your left shoulder with your left hand. Now try touching your left shoulder with your right hand. Now do you see why they do this?
