I saw the link for the audio of her testimony on Twitter and listened to it before reading the transcript. As a casual fan who follows her on Instagram, I’ve often wondered how medicated she is, because she seems so...disconnected whenever she posts a video. She talks so fast, with a high voice, and just seems so off.

I suspect that at this point, they’re afraid that she’ll a) cut them off, b) use her funds to sue the fuck out of them, c) write a tell-all book, or d) all of the above. They didn’t want the gravy train to end.

The fact remains that people with mental illness can still be determined to have capacity. Just watched a man incapable of living alone sign a bunch of papers today - unpressured - to agree to his treatment regimen and Advanced Directive. This case is absurd from my perspective (someone who works with people pre- and

This is what it sounds like when the traumatized try to speak about their trauma.

I went through a period of time where I was in and out of jail and the psych ward. Nobody ever forced me to stop using drugs or forced me to get an IUD. (I...was once court ordered to leave and not come back to a certain state for a period of 1 year, but that’s another story.)

YES. 20 minutes to account for 30+ years? Find me ANYONE who doesn’t speak professionally and make them talk for three minutes. see how it turns out.

It’s the forced IUD for me. That’s pretty fucked up. Even through the rambling she made ALL of her points comparing from the last court date to present. The judge’s behavior, her family’s behavior, the lack of bodily autonomy, insight on her therapy sessions, and money extortion. She checked every box. It will be hard

What are you talking about? She just did the Pieces of Me tour in 2018 which was 31 shows in 3 months, and had done Britney Live in Concert in Asia the year before that. And her residency in Vegas was more than 15 hours a week. It takes a lot of fucking work to put on a show. Saying that that’s the most it took is

Meanwhile, every other family dealing with a severely mentally ill family member can’t get ANYONE to even try to “help.” I guess because serious money is involved? WTF?

“The control he had to hurt his own daughter, he loved it. I worked seven days a week ... it was like sex trafficking. I didn’t have a credit card, cash or my passport.”

This conservatorship is an absolute disgrace. Britney Spears has certainly displayed very concerning behavior before, she has well-documented mental health issues, and I have no doubt she would struggle, maybe mightily, to handle her own affairs. And, so what? That last sentence describes lots of people, including

Update: Variety has published the full transcript of her statement.

I was already on her side and already supportive of at the very least getting Jamie the hell out of there BEFORE I read about the IUD today. She isn’t even allowed bodily autonomy. That’s absolutely sick.

What floors me here is that there was never goal or process for her to get more control of her life.  She was in a really terrible place and needed the conservatorship at the time, but she should have had a path to earn more control over her life.  She should also at anytime be able to veto the person who is

The fact that she was 26 (not some 15 year old edgelord troll) when she told a child who was groomed for sex by a 50 year old predator to kill herself and that she hates her...is fucking disturbing, jokes or not.

It’s hard to say how much of his in-show persona is manufactured, but on TV his approach is “be deliberately careless and irresponsible so Joanna has to be the uptight one while I get to be fun.” It’s certainly not original to them -- it’s a traditional script in certain circles.

They’ll all be adults before these two agree on a custody arrangement.”

As someone who was a minor when parents were divorced and am now an attorney, it would have been cruel to make those kids testify. This is something for court-appointed therapists to discuss with the children and parents to make a determination. Having kids testify in front of a judge about which parent they like more

Ellen claimed that the allegations against her workplace were “orchestrated” and “coordinated.”
