Plenty of conservatives have made it clear that they don’t care about migrants dying in custody, and plenty of others have openly pined for the ability/opportunity to literally murder them. So yeah, I think some of those guards would, and the ones who wouldn’t could quickly be replaced by enthusiastic volunteers. 

The irony that the administration doesn’t want to follow a law from 1997, yet Trump keeps using a law from the 1920s that lets him keep declaring “national emergencies” to bypass Congress to get whatever he wants.
