I will give anyone the benefit of the doubt with one accuser - it can and does happen that false accusations are made for whatever reason.

I totally agree with the ‘fuck cultural imperialism’. It’s a shame that they mostly use a latin alphabet to translate the written form of their language (because the original more Chinese based version looked like it rocked), and it’s a damn shame that when they did that they didn’t create a more phonetic version.

His parents were almost certainly first generation Australian, in that the first Vietnamese refugees weren’t admitted until the late ‘70s. It’s highly likely his parents never learned much if any English, although the son, being schooled here certainly would have.
