Yeah, in other games failing to pay my hotel bill and ending up homeless would make me want to reload and try again; I think I’ll just roll with it here.

I haven’t played the “Final Cut” version, but I did have a blast with the original version. It’s such a unique experience, both narratively and mechanically. You should take most of your assumptions about how the game will play out and forget them; behaving like this is a regular RPG or mystery will only serve to…
I offer my condolences. I know words of comfort or solace can often feel hollow, because words cannot possibly suffice in moments like these. I hope to continue seeing you on the site as long as it remains a functional place for commenting and discussion.
My condolences. I hope you can be a comfort to those around you when you want to be, and comforted by others when you don’t.
I finally started Disco Elysium and I spent most of the first half hour having a screaming argument with my own brain's nicotine addiction over whether or not I should go dumpster diving for smokes. I think I'm in love.
I haven’t been around much lately because of a lot of personal shit (short version: I’m now a widower thanks to a “non-traumatic brain hemorrhage”) but I still lurk.
Honestly a story about a rich guy in the 1920s pretending to be an old west cowboy to hide his homosexuality is probably way more realistic then the cowboy movies Sam Elliot has been in. Hollywoods idea of the old west is about historically accurate as those sword and sorcery movies from the 80s.
Yeah, I’m not sure the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has earned Dolly Parton.
I didn’t really care for it, but I agree entirely with your broader sentiment regarding their progress/evolution. Anyway, they put out four nearly perfect records before Everything Now. Seems petty to be too bummed out about the fifth, even if it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I think they’re my favorite band.
yeah, Marlee Matlin had some great William Hurt stories too.
He was anispeptic, frasmodic, even compunctuos to have caused such pericobomulations.
NVIXM wasn’t a sex cult. It was just a regular cult. There was a sex cult, which Allison Mack recruited women for, within NVIXM but AFAIK the actress that plays Aunt Beru and her husband weren’t a part of it.
Moviegoers are gonna be left cold as ice if Kraven has to carry a whole film. No way will seeing this film be urgent.
Tattooine is the name of the tattoo parlour where Obi-Wan goes to ink up. Unfortunately, the Jedi frown upon tattooing so he has to keep them covered with long-sleeved robes.
“Why should I change my planet? Boba’s the one who sucks!”
The problem with crime is you’re always surrounded by criminals, who in many cases aren’t very bright, have impulse control issues and tend to solve problems with violence.
Having a protagonist who is a screwup is certainly doable: plenty of famous works have been made about people who make lots of terrible mistakes, both dramas and comedies. I think we can rule out TBOBF being a comedy.
More like, it told the story of a guy who crawled out of a Sarlacc pit and for some reason wanted to be a small time crime lord on a backwater planet but never really got there.
Thing is, the Obi Wan show is the only one where Tatooine is actually justified. The rest was just crappy fanservice. It’s not this show’s fault Tatooine has been already overused!
The Mandalorian, yes. Book of Boba Fett...eh, not so much.
Specifically looking at live-action stuff. Seems like the animated shows have fared better.
