Not a crackpot.

You put it more succinctly, but “Oh, Come On” was my breaking point too.

I think I only saw the first season, but what I remember pretty strongly is that every so often over the season there would be a cut back to his house or apartment in the US and it would be slightly more decrepit and filled with wild animals than the previous time.

I feel the same. His last special “Oh, Come On” was the final straw.  It was just mad rambling stories that had no jokes or punch lines.  You can be an asshole, but you still have to be entertaining and interesting

Oh man, I remember loving The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. Wonder if it holds up on rewatch. Great interview, too.

In a booth? We’ll snuggle up side by side.

I was such a Cross booster since I discovered Mr. Show in my early teens. His Shutup You Fucking Baby double (CD’s) got 100's of plays in anything I owned with a disk drive and speakers. I felt as if he was speaking what I couldn’t find the words to say. It was mean and biting and raw. His turn in Arrested Development

If your date is attractive but stinky, put them across from you. If they smell nice but are ugly, next to you. Ugly and stinky is a no go.

So, a happier version of Ellison’s I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream?

Me three. City of Lost Children dropped at the perfect time for me as an insufferable video store cinéaste. I lost track of Jeunet about half-way through A Very Long Engagement (like, literally half-way through. I don’t think I ever finished it) but this looks like a return to form, and I’m here for it.

That said, I’d

I’ve been a huge fan of his visual style since City of Lost Children. Can’t wait to watch this. I had just (rewatched) Delicatessen a couple of weeks ago.

I am totally here for the mid-century retro-futurist aesthetic.

Carla Pennington, who’s accused of screaming at and berating employees, up to and including describing them using a slur for people with developmental disabilities.”

Hmm, do I side with the artist who paused her show to ensure a fan is safe and well, or the artist who posts an unpunctuated all caps rant about an unmentioned third party in a public forum? How do you make that call?

Yeah, she wasn’t doing that. Oddly enough, I was actually at this show the other night. She was just being thoughtful. She only said the thing about how she waits for everyone to be alright before she continues the show because a few people (out of thousands) yelled out for her to hurry up and play the song. She was
