Insurance makes sense for a $100K contest, but I’m surprised a dealership that can afford a $15M donation would bother with insurance for a $5K prize.

I’m not talking about every situation. Just this particular one where it was so damn close, the kid was announced as winning, and the rules were not clearly explained to him.
Even if the insurance company wouldn’t cover it, they should have immediately chosen to take the hit and pay for it out of pocket.
I prefer a rather less humble station wagon. Last week I drove from FL to ME in my ‘14 MB E350 wagon, and I will be heading back again the week after next loaded up with even more stuff for my new house. There is no better way to do it. Carted TONS of stuff up including a large table saw and a sliding chop saw and…
“When we say do something you fucking do it.”
Yep Hill is 100% guilty of not “respecting the cops authority”.
Now if they could only offer a dealership experience that wasn’t actively trying to upset every customer that walked through the door.
That would have either been the shortest or most uncomfortable car ownership ever.
Everyone loves to make fun of “protecting the local wetlands” until their neighborhood floods.
Right, but that would probably have come up if he’d, you know, filled out the proper paperwork in the first place.
Or just get the damn permits
“My mom’s husband..”Damn, that guy ain’t even considered a stepfather :>)

Guy spent $100,000 on a vanity project for his kid and purposely avoided the government because he didn’t feel like he should pay the government a few hundred…
I mean, we know who’s in the wrong. Like it or not, the dad didn’t figure out if one was necessary and/or didn’t apply for a permit. Unsurprisingly, most villages/towns/cities don’t want you to install paved race tracks in your back yard. So they require you to get a permit. He didn’t do it, and built it anyway. Would…
There has been a solid push by right wing activists to go after DEI. Boards and Execs are all republicans generally so the minute they thought they had cover, they did. Rich White Men were never going to actually champion dei.
“We are mindful that our employees and customers hold a wide range of beliefs,” and we are going to cater to the bigoted ones.
Oh, it would be so nice if they could do that. And if they could, Boeing would go for it in a heartbeat, actually. NASA would be ordering them to right now. Unfortunately, it’s not an option, for several reasons.
I doubt they would be able to completely remove the thrusters, and where would they store then prior to reentry? Not exactly any spare rooms in the ISS to put junk in.
I respect all cars and the enthusiasm the owners bring to the hobby, no matter what car they bring to the show.
Except Dodge Challengers. Fuck Challengers.
