Because literally every single Toyota that me and my family have owned dating back 45 years has been damned near flawless ranging from the 1985 Camry we had to Dad’s 2014 Tundra, to my 1996 Tacoma, to my brother’s former 1998 Avalon. All of the older ones were well past 250,000 and even past 300,000+ miles when sold

But that wouldn’t be “cheap” for Toyota would it lol.

The “I’m a dad who just made his last court-ordered child support payment” car.

I think to win over others we need to step above calling him “orange” there is at least 2 comments in this short thread thus far that do this. It only fuels the us vs them mentality and brings everyone down to that level.

Maximus, I think you should take the kid gloves off. Don’t sugar coat it, be brutally honest - tell us what you really think of old Donny Deepthoughts.

If the 1/2 the country that never votes would vote, if the left would get off their “have to be perfect from birth” high horse and support candidates that are younger. If the not pro christo-fascist dictatorship fiscal conservatives would find their spines and balls and run the orange menace into a jail cell, THEN we

Donald Trump is an ignorant racist misogynistic bloviating orange windbag who is utterly incapable of speaking a single grain of truth. He is a petulant man-child who whines insufferably and incessantly when things don’t go his way. He cannot accept fault. That he was allowed within 10 miles of the White House at all

Most likely a BHPH lot that doesn’t release the title to you until you pay off the absolutely absurd amount ($6k for an 18 year old Taurus is larceny!).

This is just theft, followed by sale of stolen goods.  The dealership owner ought to be sitting in a prison cell by now.

I agree. The ‘22 rules worked as intended, even with the expectation that engineers will claw back some of the benefit with clever aero. A single team dominating has been the rule rather than the exception going back decades, regardless of the regulations

The entire point of the 2022 rule set was to decrease dirty air off the back of the car, so that the following car would not lose downforce in the corners, thus facilitating closer racing and easier passing. As far as I’ve heard everyone was in agreement that the ground effects cars had achieved this goal.

Classic GM parts bin engineering. I’ll use the Saturn Sky as an example:

What is it with everyone mentioning cars that share platforms share parts? That is the whole point of platform sharing.....

It feels like Subaru’s been mailing it in across their whole lineup for a good decade now, if not longer. But it’s particularly pronounced with the WRX, a vehicle that was once fun, appealing, and extremely tunable. They’re like a slightly less shitty Nissan.

Yeah, my STI averages about 20mpg on 93 octane. It’s kind of embarrassing for a compact to drink fuel like a full-size truck. Current WRX is a bit better, but still worst MPG in its class. Kind of funny for a brand that tries to sell itself as environmentalist and outdoorsy.

I can’t get over how Subaru’s line-up is so marginal with MPGs (and I own an Outback!).

I kind of thought I’d be seeing Santa Cruz everywhere in my area, but I’ve only ever seen a couple. On the other hand the Maverick is everywhere now.

This truck’s actual utility is informing those around you that you are a d-bag.

Less.
