“There are only 52 weekends in a year. Do we really need to be racing F1 on almost half of them?”
Yes.

Yes.
Being a PUBLIC shithead. Most CEOs are shitheads, they just don’t go publicizing it in the manner that Musk does.
Being a shithead, not great for business. Who knew?
Remember that it’s not “146 kg more”. Gold has a density of 19.2 g/cc, but iron (let’s assume that the gold replaced iron-based components) has a density of 7.9 g/cc. So the volume of 146 kg of gold is the same as the volume of ~60 kg of iron, so the discrepancy would be 86 kg, not 146.
are customs agents going to be that familiar with the weights of potential internal components? does gold show up different on an xray? the only thing obviously suspicious to me is the build quality of rotating components, otherwise i wouldn’t expect a customs official to be so thorough.
Looks like rough raw castings with machined steel parts on each end.
I’m guessing they just melted the gold and poured it into molds.
Screenplay Idea: They don’t catch up to this scheme until after the machinery is delivered, but the original “customer” has mysteriously disappeared. Now some recently promoted facilities manager who had always found his boss kinda “off” suddenly finds himself in the middle of gold smuggling operation.
“You can finance for up to 120 months!”
“I don’t wear seatbelts because it’s better to be thrown clear of the accident.”
I’ve heard this eyeball-roller more than once: owners told me how they “baby” their ride by putting premium gas in the tank instead of the correct regular grade. The whole idea of premium grade for higher compression engines to prevent knocking was beyond them—”babying” was all they knew.
That’s also the way he looks when they ask him if they can divert some of the parts from new production to repairing issues with already purchased trucks.
Not the Tacoma and Tundra forums. Tacomaworld is people talking about mods, adventures, advice... there are very few threads about problems.
Yes. I think musk is a tyrant and the CT is a dangerous monstrosity. But customer forums are mainly used to complain. My guess is that the complaints are a statically small fraction of the number of owners?
I know new cars sometimes have teething issues, but Jesus Christ this is laughable.
Ha, water?! My intelligently designed body keeps trying to breathe my spit!
“Sadly, this was satire decades ago, and now it sounds like a happier time when political arguments didn’t automatically lead to both sides calling each other Nazis.”
We must find these increasingly rare instances of wide bipartisan agreement where we can!
Ted Cruz is a tool but also...how much longer do we think we are going to have comments here on Jalop?
Just us and Gizmodo now...?
This chode is just tired of people being mean to him while he flees to Mexico during weather events.
