Offering a fair price for something isn’t ‘lowballing’. Just because they might be able to trick someone else into paying that price doesn’t mean you should feel obligated to. When multiple mechanics have said the thing isn’t worth fixing up (unless you value your time as nothing), then its time to move on.

It might just be my experience but of the older Frontiers that I have been in, they haven’t aged well. Lots of rattles, squeaks, etc that are far more than should exist for the age/mileage of the vehicle.
