Spent most of 2018 with Monster Hunter World and Warframe. Both of those games make Destiny look like a colossal pile of shit. Its honestly kind of jarring how big the chasm between them is.

The “hunt” part of the game is not a joke or a throwaway name. At least unless you are a vet, there are times you are meant to regroup, re-evaluate and so forth. Its meant to feel like a giant undertaking, not a quick battle.
