I thought even its story was mediocre. Bioshock infinite is the definition of mediocrity.

Respawn is essentially half of the old IW squad. The studio is actually much smaller in overall size.

I thought 13 was ok, but a far cry from the series greats. I still have 13-2 sitting in its box as I haven't had the urge to open it yet.

No game I had ever played had such a deep, epic story and extensive character growth. Not just my favorite in the series, one of my favorite games ever.

FF8 for me. It really changed my life. I always had the impression that FF's were for "the nerds". After I played that, I learned a pretty important lesson about not pre-judging things because you never know what will surprise you.

Its like King Arthur from the SNES. That game was sweet iirc.

Sorry Haloman, I should have clarified. Its been a while, but I think Cid and Edea were led to believe that they were headed for "great things". In other words there would come a time where Cid would know he would have to hand things over to Squall.

Remember the ending Haloman? A sorceress must pass on her powers before dying. They were at the orphanage and they didn't want any of the children to get it, so Edea took it.

FF8 was the king of them all. Gameplay (drawing, long summon animations) had a few issues, but no other game can compete with the story and characters that FF8 provided.
