I’ve tried with One Day at a Time ... but I just can’t.  I simply do not see what the critics here see with that show.  It’s a traditional multi-camera sitcom with EVERYTHING that means ... corny as hell jokes, contrived premises, broad characters.  Ugh.  I just can’t get into it.

Nailed it. Didn’t read the source material but couldn’t believe just how dated the writing was when I was watching the first season. Even Outlander is trying to freshen up its takes here and there.
