Not harming others? One of them dug up my begonias.

“Gerber doesn’t recommend that we abandon the genre completely. Instead, he suggests balancing our indulgences with some real-world action”

Now playing

Really surprised not to see MGMT on here. Their new track “Me and Michael” is the catchiest pop song they’ve written in years.

If only there were a website, perhaps a movie database on the internet, that reporters could go to verify these things.

In the same interview, Quincy Jones says he loves Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith. So there’s that.

This all seems very plausible.

If Poppy is a character portrayed by a real person, then your comparison to Simone makes no bloody sense.

I know of plenty of human beings who like to drink their own pee, but that’s probably because I spend a lot of time on Pornhub.

Friends’ lack of diversity was pretty shitty, but I don’t think a single black person ever stepped foot in Cheers. And then there was the episode where the entire gang boycotted the bar because Sam’s gay friend showed up.

“Get out get out get get get out” has to be the laziest chorus Lauren has ever written. And that synthline was stolen from Jamie XX.

Anschutz also owns LA Galaxy, which employs the only out gay man currently playing in a professional sports league in the States. Coachella itself has booked and provided a lot of exposure to gay artists like The Gossip and Shamir and Courtney Barnett.

A few hours after I posted!

So “zaddy” is really happening. Fucking millennials.

Oh, just remembered, the debut album from ionnalee (of iamamiwhoami) is out February 16.

New IAMX album on Friday if you’re into that sorta thing.

Hot take: Roger Ebert wasn’t actually a good film critic. He was kind of a shitty writer, his opinions were populist, his critiques not very insightful, and the thumbs up/thumbs down system left no room for nuance.

Of the three, I think Lynch is the most capable of completing his series. The Locke Lamora books are mostly self-contained stories with only a minor thread connecting them. He just has to come up with a new heist storyline before writing each new novel.

That poetic prose is pretty glaringly absent in the second book though. It’s almost as if Rothfuss only had a year or two to finish it, but he’d previously spent 10 years massaging the prose in the first book, which is what I believe actually happened.

I’ve long suspected that GRRM, Rothfuss and Scott Lynch play Words With Friends together all day.

I think you missed the punchline: It’s being scripted by a writer from Transformers: The Last Knight.
